Location: Situated 70 kms north of Mount Kenya, on the edge of the Laikipia plateau. Loisaba Wilderness is a 61,000 acre working ranch and private wildlife conservancy. Description: Loisaba Lodge offers the rare excitement, adventure and privacy of a newly discovered African wilderness. Perched a few hundred feet above a waterhole, frequented by a constant stream of wildlife, Loisaba is constructed from stone, local timber and thatch. Accommodation/Facilities: Losiaba Lodge has 7 rooms which can accommodate 14 people; each room has an en-suite bathroom and French windows that open onto a private deck. All furniture at Loisaba is hand made on the ranch. The lodge has a swimming pool, tennis court, bocce court and croquet lawn. In addition to the lodge accommodation, Loisaba has: Kiboko Star Beds, situated amongst a kopje of rocks overlooking a waterhole, which can accommodate three couples. The self contained private luxury Loisaba House has two bedrooms and a cliff-top swimming pool; and the private exclusive Loisaba Cottage can accommodate 8 people - also with its own pool. Hosted By: Overall management of Loisaba Wilderness is the responsibility of Tom SIlvester, who was born in kenya and has lived on Loisaba for the past 15 years. Guests are looked after by a team of well experienced hosts and guides. The Loisaba Lodge, House and Cottage have seperate teams of hosts, guides and staff.
