Location: Just outside the town of Nanyuki at the foothills of Mount Kenya on a 360 acre farm, is Mukima House, a perfect family destination. It overlooks rolling lawns, a dam attracting a diverse array of bird life, a salt lick, and the mountain peaks. Description: Mukima House is an old cedar wood farmhouse built during the early 1900’s, when the farm was used for cattle ranching. The grand old farmhouse, uninhabited for several years has been restored to its original glory and fitted with attractive furniture and striking décor in African / Far Eastern style. Accommodation/Facilities: The double story house has 6 spacious bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (3 doubles and 3 twins). It can comfortably accommodate 6 couples, and extra beds can be added for children. It also comprises of a lounge, study, games room, TV room, kitchen and dining room with French windows that open on to the front lawn. Verandas surround the house on 2 sides. There is a pool with its own pool house, sauna and massage room, as well as a tennis court. The house is let out on a full board basis.
