Nkiloriti group ranch derives its name from El-Kiloriti meaning Acacia nilotica. Here the terrain is rugged and hilly, drained by the Sinyai and Kipsing rivers. Nkiloriti neighbours Morupusi and Kijabe group ranchers, and is a member of Naibunga Conservancy, which was set up with the aim to promote sustainable natural resource management, and improve/diversify economic livelihoods of the community. Of its 7,000 acres, members of the group ranch have set aside 3,000 acres for wildlife conservation managed by the Kijabe Trust. Camping: The campsite is well treed on a high hill with views over the Kipsing valley. The community have plans to develop camping facilities including toilets and a water tank. Adventure: Nkiloriti has many challenging walking routes, with options to hike into the Kipsing valley. Facilities / Services: Firewood, day-time rangers & night watchman, Safaricom network in places. Nearest collection point for water is Il Polei town. Temporary toilets must be dug and covered on departure. Directions: Approximately 70 kms (2½ hours) from Nanyuki town, & 4-wheel drive vehicle required.
