Location: Situated on the northern slopes of Mt Kenya, within the 62,000 acre Lewa Wildlife Conservancy on Lewa Downs. The conservancy is committed to the conservation of wildlife and diverse habitats found in the area. The savannah grassland provides great game viewing opportunities - as good as anywhere in Africa, including endangered species – Rhino, Grevys Zebra, Sitatunga.
Description: Lewa Downs has been the family home since 1924 when the Craig family moved from England to begin cattle ranching. Guests have been entertained at Lewa Wilderness, a private home in private paradise, for the last thirty years.
Accommodation/Facilities: The family home accommodates sixteen guests in eight comfortable thatched cottages with en-suite bathrooms, fireplaces and verandahs. The cosy sitting and open air dining room is used for reading, relaxing and eating. Healthy and delicious food is served, with produce from a five acre organic garden and home-raised livestock. The house has a refreshing salt water swimming pool and clay tennis court.

Closed Season: April, May and November.
Access: By daily schedule flight from Wilson Airport (Nairobi) to Lewa Downs, by private charter flight direct to the Lewa airstrip, or by road from either Nanyuki (2 hours) or Nairobi.
