Location: With 360 degree sweeping views of Mount Kenya to the south and the vast Frontier District to the north, Tumaren Ranch is a window onto the romantic wilds of northern Kenya. Neighbouring Mpala Ranch and a series of other large conservation areas Tumaren is also blessed with healthy numbers of game and predators. While Karisia Limited operates safaris all over Kenya, at Tumaren visitors can enjoy the property as a starting point for a camel safari or as a base camp to explore from on foot or by car.

Description: Karisia Limited Walking Safaris specialises in a form of adventure travel that does not compromise luxury and comfort. Typically on a walking safari, guests wake with the rising sun, eat a delicious cooked breakfast, and begin the journey. Pack camels and camp follow behind but often times they pass, as guests stop to discover the natural history encountered along the way. At the next camp guests are greeted with a cool drink and a gourmet lunch. The afternoon is normally spent relaxing, enjoying a stream or river, having a siesta or fishing before going for an evening walk and sundowners. Karisia Walking safaris often begin or end at one Laikipia's renowned lodges.

Accommodation & Facilities: The tents are of a classic safari design, spacious, with netting sides and a fly-sheet that folds back in good weather. Meals are prepared with fresh and delicious ingredients, utilizing top-grade local fruit, vegetables and gourmet meats.
