Location: Thomson’s Falls Lodge is situated at the world famous Thomson’s Falls discovered in 1883 by Joseph Thomson, a Scottish geologist and naturalist. The Ewaso Narok River drops a sheer 243 feet over a ledge of volcanic rock, to create these magnificent falls, located in the southern west corner of Laikipia, at the northern foot of the Aberdare range.
Description: Thomson’s Falls Lodge situated at 7,800 feet, is surrounded by 10 acres of lawns, shaded with African olive and cedar trees. Built in the early 1930’s by English settlers, the original cottages still stand. Thompson’s Falls Lodge is an ideal overnight stop for travellers moving between Samburu and the Great Rift Valley.
Accommodation & Facilities: The lodge has 32 single, double and triple rooms, on bed and breakfast, half board or full board basis. All rooms have open log fire places and en-suite bathrooms. Some rooms also have private verandahs. A beautiful campsite, offers accommodation to overland travellers. The lodge has conference facilities.
Hosted By: The lodge has a full team of staff, and a hands-on general manager.
