Location: Situated on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro river, El Karama Ranch is home to over 75 species of mammal, 350 species of birds and a stud herd of Sahiwal cattle. Whilst cattle raising is the main activity on this 14,000 acre ranch, wildlife conservation and preservation of the natural bush-land country is the greatest concern.
Description: El Karama Ranch has been the Grant family home for nearly 40 years. The El Karama Ranch bandas provide quality self service accommodation in a stunning piece of wilderness on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River.
Accommodation/Facilities: Various accommodation options including: two newly built cottages with en-suite bathrooms which accommodate up to five people each, and four double recently renovated bandas with detached bathrooms. Facilities include an attractive and spacious communal dinning area which over looks the Acacia clad Ewaso Nyiro River, and a fully equipped kitchen. El Karama also has a choice of natural campsites.
Hosted By: Each accommodation option has attendants who help with cooking, cleaning, washing and guiding.

Access: By road from Nanyuki– approximately one hour on new tarmac road (20kms) and all weather dirt road.
