NEMA to Meet Laikipia

The Director General of the National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA) Prof. Geoffrey Wahungu and a team from NEMA including the officer in charge of compliance, will be coming to Laikipia for a symposium to be held on 8th of February 2013 at the Nanyuki Sports Club, starting at 10.30am.

Some of the topics to be discussed and addressed include tourism compliance, tackling invasive species (eg opuntia), the Kenya- Ethiopia power line and housing developments in the region, amongst other issues.

It is an open forum and all are welcome and invited to take part in this rare opportunity to have an interactive Q & A session with the Director General and his team, and raise issues of concern or seek clarification where there is doubt.
